Overview

Fantasy cricket users typically rely on intuition when selecting their teams. This project replaced guesswork with a mathematical scoring framework built on 5 seasons of IPL data across 20+ integrated datasets — evaluating every player on three dimensions: fantasy performance, consistency, and historical legacy — then automatically generating an optimized XI based on user-chosen strategy.

Problem Statement

  • Evaluating hundreds of players manually is time-consuming and biased
  • Single-metric selection ignores consistency and historical trends
  • No automated framework for strategy-based team building
  • Captain/vice-captain selection has outsized impact on fantasy points
